Creating API account for BigCommerce

In order to make the integration possible you will need to create API account. This will grant you access to API token and store hash that are needed for the integration.

Go to your BigCommerce site's dashboard and select Advanced SettingsAPI Accounts.

Click on Create API Account and select Create V2/V3 API Token.

Give a name for the API account. 

Your stores store hash can be found between slashes in section API Path. Copy this hash and save it. It is needed in the integration.

You can manage your API account's authorization scopes. It is advised to grant modify status for all the sections in order for the integration to work smoothly. Change at least Content, Orders, Order Transactions and Products to modify state. 

Once you have stored the store hash and selected authorization scopes for the API account click Save.

BigCommerce API Credentials page will open. Copy the Access Token from this page.This is needed for the integration.

Note! This page will not be accessible after you close it.

After you have copied the Access Token click Done. Your browser should automatically download text-file that also contains the token and store hash.

 

Integration to MyOGO

Go to myOGO Edit merchant page and select Integrations. Click on New integration and select BigCommerce from the list.

Fill in:

  • API Token. This is the API Token of your API account
  • Store hash. You can access the store name be creating API Account (e.g. https://api.bigcommerce.com/stores/4vviyb1e33/v3/)

Remember to save your changes and to enable scheduled latest changes update after the goods are in stockYou can test your integration by pressing Test button.

 

Setting up shipping methods

Shipping methods that you offer at your online store need to be linked to specific shipping methods provided at myOGO in order to gain full automation.

Instructions on how to add and edit shipping methods in BigCommerce are here.

Once you have those set up copy the shipping method name, i.e., "DHL".

Go to Edit merchant → Shipping methods.

Add new shipping method from the list and copy the shipping method name from your online store.

 

The "*" special character can be used as a wild card in the text or code. E.g.

  1. "DHL*" matches to "DHL-1" and "DHL-test"
  2. "D*L" matches to "DtestL" and "DYL"

Remember to link every shipping method individually to certain shipping methods on myOGO.

After all shipping methods in your online store are linked to OGOship shipping methods, your setup is done. For more information read Shipping Methods.

 

Synchronizing products

Once the integration is set up, go to the ProductsSync webshop products. If the products are not yet visible, click Refresh.

When the products are visible on the BigCommerce side of the page, click on all, or the desired products, and select Create product. Read more about the product sync page.

When the physical products arrive at the warehouse, the stock amounts will be visible in both myOGO and BigCommerce.
