This page will guide you through how the shipping methods are configured at myOGO. The guide assumes that an integration between myOGO and your online store is used.
Your shipping methods that you offer at your online store need to be linked to the shipping methods provided at myOGO in order to gain full automation. The shipping options you offer to your customers need to be individually linked to certain shipping methods at myOGO.
For example, you might offer your customers the following options:
For the integration to work properly, myOGO needs to know which actual shipping method is chosen for e.g. "Home delivery". We offer a large variety of options e.g. DHL & Schenker and they might all offer home delivery options. You need to choose which home delivery option you would like to use and link that option to the shipping method at the online store.
Note! Depending on the warehouse some shipping methods might need a request to activate them. You can request activation by pressing Request activation. Activation may take 2-3 days so shipping method is not available immediately. You will get notice once the activation is complete. The following video will instruct on requesting shipping method.
Depending on you online store integration, the linking is done either:
Shipping method configuration may differ depending on which platform you are using. Please see more info from the integration instructions.
Linking the methods by using a code
Let's assume that your online store shipping method "Delivery to Pick Up Point" needs to be linked to "Omniva international parcel", and you are using an integration where a shipping method linking code is used. This would be the process:
This is how it looks like at myOGO when the shipping method is enabled and the code in place
After all shipping methods in your online store are linked to OGOship shipping methods, your setup is done.
Linking the methods by using a name
Let's assume that your online store shipping method "Delivery to Pick Up Point" needs to be linked to "Omniva international parcel", and you are using an integration where shipping method linking is done with the shipping method name. This would be the process:
This is how it looks like at myOGO when the shipping method is enabled and the name/code in place
After all shipping methods in your online store are linked to OGOship shipping methods, your setup is done.
Encoding the name and code
The name / code is not case sensitive.
The "*" special character can be used as a wild card in the text or code. E.g.
If you would like to link more than one shipping method to the same actual shipping method at myOGO, you can add more codes to myOGO. Here is an example:
Now shipment orders arriving from your store either with name "Delivery to Pick Up Point" and "code_2" are both linked to the Omniva international parcel.
MyOGO identifies shipping methods in the shipment order by using the name or code. In case the linking is done incorrectly, orders will not go to pick&pack but the order will be put into the RESERVED state. These orders will not be shipped before they are corrected by the merchant because the shipping method is not identified!
This commonly happens when:
What to do, if orders are put to RESERVED:
"How can I offer different shipping methods to different countries?"
In most online stores it is possible to offer different shipping methods to different countries. We recommend to create different shipping methods for different regions of the world and to offer the customer only the shipping methods suitable for their region.
After creating different shipping methods at the online store, it is only a matter of linking the different methods to actual shipping methods at myOGO by following the guide above.
